Upon arrival, we greet you with a special welcome in this town founded by Italian settlers who came from the Emilia-Romagna region in the early 20th century.\n\nFrom the very first moment you'll feel like you crossed half the world without leaving southern Chile: tricolor flags, aromas of Italian cooking, and a community that keeps its traditions alive.

Visit a prosciutto curing cellar and discover the artisanal process that made Capitán Pastene famous: prosciutto made with recipes brought from Italy over a century ago, slowly curing in the southern climate.

Hands in the dough: join a fun pasta-making class where you'll learn the secrets of fresh pasta, nonna-style, from Capitán Pastene. An experience made for laughing, sharing, and taking a new skill home.

Walk the streets of Capitán Pastene with a guide who will tell you the story of the founding families, the town's architecture, and how this corner of La Araucanía became the capital of Chilean artisanal ham.

Close the day with an included lunch at a traditional trattoria: fresh pasta, Italian-Chilean flavors, and unhurried after-lunch conversation.

In the afternoon we head back with full hearts (and stomachs).
